The Langguth Wet Glue Case Labeler serves as a flexible in-house case decorator for knocked down cases. For warehouse applications the Wet Glue Case Labeler applies labels to finished erected cases. On primary packaging this unit applies billboard labels to square containers.
Up to 100 cpm. Explosion-proof rated designs available.
Modifications to the wetLAN® 120 permit the machine to apply wet glue labels to angular containers made of cardboard, plastic or metal like f.ex. cartons, boxes, canisters, cans, or flat containers such as cut-to-size cardboards or folding boxes. Two magazine types are available.
The labeler’s conveyor chain carries the containers through the inline labeller. At the infeed a metering device creates a repeatable gap between containers, initiating progressive labelling processes. As a metered container is released, a photo eye activates the label magazine. A label is separated from the stack in the magazine and guided past the glue roll roller. The glue roller applies a very thin and uniform glue layer onto the backside of the label. The conveyor chain speed and magazine label release are timed to achieve accurate label pick up by the container. Subsequtent to label pick up, the container moves into the roll-on station where the label is securely affixed to the container.
